Unsettled Weather in UAE: Rain, Fog, and Dusty Winds Expected This Week

by admin477351

The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a period of unsettled weather over the next five days, with the forecast indicating potential rainfall in eastern and southern areas, alongside fog, mist, and dusty winds affecting certain regions.

On Saturday, October 17, the development of convective clouds in the eastern parts of the country during the afternoon may bring rain. While skies are expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, temperatures are anticipated to reach between 37°C and 42°C inland, 35°C to 40°C along the coast, and 28°C to 33°C in mountainous regions.

As the week progresses, Sunday, October 18, could see rainfall in some northern and eastern areas as clouds gather in the afternoon. Increased humidity overnight into Monday morning may lead to the formation of fog or mist in coastal and inland areas.

By Monday, October 19, the chance of rainfall extends to eastern and southern areas once again, with fog or mist potentially developing in some western regions overnight into Tuesday morning. Winds are expected to pick up, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, which could lead to dusty conditions in exposed locations.

On Tuesday, similar weather patterns are anticipated, with convective clouds possibly bringing rain to the eastern and southern parts of the UAE. Winds could strengthen further, reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h, contributing to blowing dust.

Wednesday, October 21, is expected to bring fair to partly cloudy skies, with another opportunity for afternoon rainfall in eastern and southern regions. High humidity levels overnight may result in fog or mist formation in coastal and inland areas by Thursday morning.

This sequence of weather changes is attributed to surface and upper-air low-pressure systems currently impacting the region. Residents and motorists are advised to exercise caution, particularly during early morning and overnight hours, due to reduced visibility caused by fog, mist, and blowing dust.
