The United Arab Emirates is actively participating in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ministerial meetings in Bahrain, with the aim of enhancing regional industrial cooperation and fostering new investment opportunities. The UAE delegation, led by Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, is taking part in discussions focusing on industrial integration, the adoption of advanced technologies, and increased private-sector involvement across GCC countries.

The meetings, scheduled from October 6 to 8, coincide with the Made in GCC Forum and Exhibition 2026. They serve as a platform for addressing cooperation in industry, standards, and metrology, with the goal of boosting the competitiveness of Gulf industries by integrating regional value chains and combining the capabilities of GCC nations.

Throughout the event, UAE companies are showcasing national products and industrial technologies, creating prospects for cooperation in areas such as manufacturing, investment, technology, and supply chain management. The discussions highlight the importance of artificial intelligence and advanced technology in enhancing industrial productivity and competitiveness.

Several memorandums of understanding are anticipated to be signed between UAE entities and GCC companies, aiming to expand industrial partnerships. The meeting agenda also includes topics like industrial financing, innovation, infrastructure, and supply-chain resilience.

The UAE’s involvement in these meetings is part of its broader strategy to strengthen industrial links within the GCC and foster a more integrated and competitive regional industrial sector. Notably, the UAE’s industrial exports reached Dh260 billion in 2025, with Dh92 billion comprising medium- and high-technology industrial exports. The National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme has redirected over Dh473 billion into the UAE economy, supporting local companies and fortifying domestic supply chains.
