In response, the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the global community to ensure the enforcement of pertinent United Nations Security Council resolutions that concern Yemen and the safeguarding of maritime security in the Red Sea.
The ministry emphasized the importance of Resolution 2216, which pertains to the situation in Yemen, and Resolution 2722, which focuses on the protection of navigation rights and freedom of movement within the Red Sea. The UAE’s call to action reflects its commitment to maintaining stability and security in the region, stressing the necessity of upholding international legal standards.
