The United Arab Emirates has rolled out a nationwide initiative designed to rally both citizens and residents in a collective show of support and allegiance to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The effort recognizes his pivotal role in enhancing the country’s security, stability, and global influence.
Unveiled by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the “Pledge and Commitment” campaign was introduced at a significant assembly held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. The event drew more than 4,800 participants, including citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, and business leaders. The initiative is structured around four crucial principles: fostering unity and coexistence, taking inspiration from leadership values, reinforcing civic responsibility and national identity, and expressing gratitude for the prosperity and stability of the nation.
The campaign has broadened its reach by expanding online through a dedicated website and a QR code system, enabling individuals across the UAE to join digitally. Organizers have committed to maintaining momentum through collaborations with businesses, universities, and community organizations, supplemented by online multilingual engagement and public events.
This initiative comes in the wake of a period marked by national solidarity, following regional security tensions earlier this year. Calls from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have spurred public displays of patriotism, with UAE flags prominently displayed on homes, offices, and public buildings to celebrate the nation’s resilience and unity.
The pledge is an expression of loyalty and support for President Sheikh Mohamed, praising him as a leader who ensures national security, fosters progress, and exemplifies dedication and service to the country. Participants who affirm their commitment online are awarded a digital certificate of appreciation, which they can download and share, further solidifying the campaign’s outreach and impact.
