Daytime temperatures across Abu Dhabi and Dubai are set to fall below 30°C this week, signaling the arrival of cooler weather as the UAE transitions toward winter. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast scattered showers, cloudy skies, and strong winds—especially over coastal and western regions—through Friday.
The NCM attributed the changing weather to the seasonal shift from autumn to winter, predicting more moderate conditions overall. Wind speeds could reach up to 40kph, and humidity will remain high in the early mornings. Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-30s until Thursday before dropping sharply at the weekend.
On Friday, Dubai is forecast to see a daytime high of 29°C, cooling to 22°C at night, while Abu Dhabi will reach 28°C during the day and dip to 24°C in the evening. The change marks a welcome relief after an exceptionally hot year, which saw record-breaking temperatures during April and May.
With the approach of the UAE’s mild winter season—typically lasting from late December to mid-March—residents can look forward to more comfortable outdoor conditions after months of intense summer heat.
