Rain and Strong Winds Forecast for UAE as Temperatures Hit 41°C

by admin477351

Weather conditions in the United Arab Emirates are set to become unsettled this week, with forecasts predicting rain and strong winds across various regions. On Wednesday, wind speeds are expected to reach up to 50 km/h in inland and mountainous areas, while temperatures could soar to as high as 41°C in some inland regions. The presence of blowing dust may further reduce visibility in certain locations.

Wednesday’s conditions are anticipated to be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds forming over eastern areas before moving to some inland and western regions during the afternoon. These clouds may result in rainfall as low-pressure systems influence the region. Winds will predominantly blow from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10–25 km/h, intensifying during cloud formation. Coastal areas and islands might experience wind speeds of up to 35 km/h. Inland temperatures are predicted to range between 35°C and 41°C, coastal areas between 34°C and 38°C, and mountainous regions between 26°C and 32°C.

Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Thursday morning, potentially reaching up to 90% in certain areas, which could lead to mist or fog, especially in coastal and inland locations. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain slight.

The unsettled weather is likely to persist into Thursday, with clouds developing over eastern and western parts of the country and bringing another chance of rain. Winds could reach speeds of 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust. On Friday, partly cloudy skies are expected to continue, with the possibility of afternoon rain in eastern areas. As humidity increases, fog or mist might develop overnight and into the early hours of Saturday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures are anticipated to gradually decrease. Convective clouds could appear over eastern and northern regions on Saturday, while conditions on Sunday are forecast to remain generally fair to partly cloudy. Humidity is expected to continue overnight into Monday morning, maintaining the risk of fog or mist.

The weather forecast indicates that the greatest chances of rainfall will occur on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by more settled weather, cooler temperatures, and recurring fog or mist risks as the weekend approaches.
